AgriTech4Rwanda
Innovation challenge

Create. Adapt. Nurture.
A challenge designed to catalyze innovative solutions that enhance climate resilience in Rwanda’s agricultural sector.
Rwanda has undergone significant economic transformation, with agriculture playing a central role in its development. The sector contributes approximately 25% of the country’s GDP and employs around 65% of the population. However, the sector is vulnerable to climate change due to reliance on rainfed farming. Smallholder farmers, making up 91% of agricultural households, face challenges like erratic rainfall, soil degradation, and limited financial services.
By providing access to expert mentorship, comprehensive business training, funding opportunities, impact assessment, and a robust network of industry leaders and investors, the AgriTech4Rwanda Innovation Challenge ensures that science-based innovations can scale and succeed in the market. Join us in our mission to transform Rwanda’s approach to climate and agriculture resilience.
