Programme Offer

Technical assistance is delivered across four focus areas:
Business — market traction, financial planning and performance, operations, and innovation capability. Technology — solution reliability, vulnerability assessment, and product scalability. Investor readiness and financial modelling — sharpening the investment proposition, financial model development, and risk-return analysis. Data management capacity — data management, processing, analysis, utilisation, and governance.
Financing
Three qualifying agritechs from among those selected will access catalytic grants. All participating agritechs benefit from linkages to patient and commercial capital. A qualifying condition for the catalytic grant is a cash and/or in-kind contribution toward agreed milestones.
Strategic Partnerships
The Accelerator facilitates revenue-based partnerships with agricultural and financial service companies — including manufacturing, distribution, supply, and offtake actors, and financial service providers such as banks, microfinance institutions, and mobile network operators.
Mentorship and Networking
Enterprises benefit from expert sessions, quarterly industry networking events, and curated investor linkages.
Regulator Dialogues
The Accelerator facilitates structured dialogue with relevant regulators, supporting enterprise compliance and a more enabling environment for growth.
Who can apply?

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate operational presence in Tanzania, with potential to scale beyond. To be admitted, applicants should: 

Address a real challenge facing small-scale farmers — for example, access to finance, technology, markets, inputs, or advisory services.
Be post-revenue, with paying customers.
Use data to inform product, service, and business decisions.
Demonstrate alignment with, or contribution to, government policy priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Requirements to Qualify for Catalytic Grants 

Applicants must be able to co-finance during and after the acceleration period, typically at a minimum 10% threshold depending on grant size. Contributions may be in cash or in-kind (for example, specialised equipment, office costs, salaries of permanent staff, or travel and subsistence), provided they are costed and auditable. Evidence of co-financing is required before final selection of grant beneficiaries. 

General Rules

  • The call is open from 7 August to 15 September 2026. 

  • Applications received after the deadline will be rejected. 

  • Applications must be submitted in English. 

  • dLab reserves the right to request additional information at any stage. 

  • dLab's decision is not binding until a performance-based agreement is signed; dLab reserves the right to reject any application up to that point. 

  • All applicants must adhere to the Tanzanian Prevention and Combating of Corruption Act (PCCA) No. 11 of 2007. Any partner engaged in a prohibited practice under that Act, or in other wilful misconduct, is ineligible.
